Drug Store Skin Care
What drug store skin care products do I like? This has to be one of my most frequently asked questions from my clients! If you have sensitive skin, you know the struggle of finding products that don't make your skin freak out but at the same time actually work. A huge help with my skin has been learning what my skin needs; for example if I'm wearing a lot of makeup I need a makeup remover and a heavy cleanser vs. no make up just got back from the gym I might just use the Micellar Water, same with your moisturizers as well as treatment masks. I have tried so many products, but these are the ones I always keep in my Kit for my clients as well as at home for my self. I hope this saves you some money, some breakouts and maybe even some bad reactions!
If you are an All-In-One kinda person this product is for you! It cleanses your skin, remover ALL of your makeup, no water needed so it is perfect for on the go and it doesn't dry your skin out. You can also just use this as a makeup remover because it is none irritating to your eyes and removes makeup quickly!
This product is just like the Micellar Water but a wipe, which makes is perfect for travel. I keep these in my gym bag, in my car, I throw them in my purse when I'm wearing a hat to constantly wipe makeup swipe dirt and oils away from my forehead so I don't breakout, and of course my carry on when I travel the first thing I do when I get on and off the plane is wipe my face!
I use this product after I cleanse and exfoliate with warm water, then I rub the Charcoal Pore Minimizer into my face till the suds turn white let sit a minute or two to really let it get into my pores then I rinse with cold water to really close my pores. It took a couple weeks before a really noticed a big difference in the size of my pores, but now that I have been using it so long I also notice it has helped with the amount and size of black heads.
This scrub is great to use all the time because the Baking Soda gently removes dead skin cells by exfoliating but it also balances PH levels in the skin that will maintain even clear skin. It also is great because the baking soda dissolves so you can't over exfoliate.
This clay mask draw's out impurities to help fight breakouts while stimulates you skin to giving you that healthy glow we all want. The directions say to let sit 15 minutes however I leave this mask about 20 so that the clay drys completely. I recommend to not use this mask more then twice a week, try to wait 3 to 4 days between using to avoid drying out your skin.
Black head strips can be a little difficult to use, I don't use them too often I wait till I notice my black heads are larger. I cleanse my entire face then rinse with as warm of water as you can handle, run a small hand towel in hot water and hold over your nose for about 5 minutes to open your pores and soften the black head then fallow the directions on the back of the box, your results will be so much better!
Moisturizers & Eye Creams
This is my absolute favorite moisturizer, it goes on every client before a makeup application. It is great on every skin type because it is a light weight yet moisturizes all day, never feels oily and makes your skin feel like silk!
This is the closest moisturizer I have found to Embryolisse with the added bonus of SPF 30, which is great because its is always important to protect your skin from the sun.
PIXI, Rose Oil $24
Not only does this Rose Oil smell like heaven but it is extremely moisturizing and gives your skin that perfect glow. I use this as my night time moisturizer all year long, as well as on days my skin is super dry. However I don't recommend using this before applying makeup because the oil with your foundation can be too much oil.
Vitamin E Oil can be used just like the Rose Oil but with added benefits, it can be used all over your entire body as well as Vitamin E is very healing which is great for scars. However it is thicker so i would use it less often.
If you are not a fan of using oils on your skin here is how to get all of the benefits but in a cream instead of oil. I prefer to use this as a night time eye cream but it is also great as a hand cream or even for your elbows and knees.
This is an eye-lift and brightener all at the same. I use is on all of my clients and it makes concealer lay so smooth with little to no creasing. For the same reasons it is great with makeup, the eye-lift and brightener makes your eyes look young and bright for days without make up as well!
